Interdisciplinary Artist
I took to art from a very young age, always being fond of the making process and the catharsis I would experience, but the art I was making never felt whole until I began divulging into the investigation of home. Originally referring to this as a sort of crisis of home, having felt as though I had never really understood, nor had one, negative emotions bloomed into an exploration of others’ experiences and the relation to my own; from fondly investigating subtle intimate moments and the sounds of a personal reality that are most frequently looked over in daily life to an attempt at deciphering the multifaceted layers of an idea so distorted and muddled by endless interpretations.

The multidisciplinary works that emerged imitated feelings of discontent, confusion, and curiosity, inviting viewers to embrace the opportunity to interact and immerse themselves in not only an artists’ considerations but also room to feel welcome in extrapolating and relating as freely as possible to/with their own understandings. All of this has formed the contextual background to my currently manifesting practice, which has evolved to focus on themes which were already present but now moved to the forefront, some of which include impermanence, transparency, associative contexts (especially in regards to flora), and the duality within all of these.
